Oral Cancer Screenings
Oral cancer affects tens of thousands of Americans every year, and one out of four cases is fatal. As with most cancers, the key to beating the disease is detecting it before it advances to a later stage. With early detection during a routine oral cancer screening, there is a 90% success rate of healing after diagnosis. A trusted dentist is truly your only line of defense against oral cancer. Our team of dental professionals will regularly evaluate your oral health, noticing any potential abnormalities. You can have the peace of mind that comes with a regular oral cancer screening.

RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

Composite Fillings (Tooth-Colored Fillings)

When the decay has been removed from the tooth, it is replaced with a “filling” material. With new advancements in dentistry, you can now have metal-free, tooth-colored fillings, resulting in a more natural and brighter smile. The composite resin or tooth-colored material resembles natural tooth structure. After the decay has been removed, the composite is sculpted and bonded to the tooth’s surface. Tooth-colored fillings may also be used to restore chipped, broken, stained, or discolored teeth, and in some cases, gaps.

Inlays/Onlays

Sometimes effectively removing tooth decay requires the removal of a considerable portion of your tooth. The removed portion is then replaced with a porcelain inlay or onlay. An inlay or onlay fills the space left behind when part of your tooth is removed. Traditionally, inlays and onlays were made out of metal, much like traditional fillings. Now, however, porcelain-milled inlays and onlays are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.  An onlay/inlay helps preserve tooth structure providing a long-lasting and strong restoration, that is in certain cases more appropiate than a crown or a filling.

Crowns

A crown is a dental restoration made of porcelain, zirconia, gold, or a mixture of different metals that completely caps or encircles a tooth when a substantial amount of tooth structure has been damaged by decay or fracture. Porcelain and zirconia crowns mimic natural-looking teeth in both shape and color.

Bridges

If you have lost a tooth, a large gap in your smile, can create significant problems for your dental health. Gradually, the adjacent teeth may begin shifting into the gap to compensate for an inability to efficiently chew in the area of the missing tooth, creating problems such as periodontal disease. After some preparation of the two neighboring teeth, crowns are created for them. A prosthetic tooth, or pontic, is fused between the crowns. Fixed bridges literally “bridge the gap” in your smile. We can create a functional, natural-looking bridge to correct your smile, to restore your bite, and to eliminate your discomfort.

Tooth Extractions

Sometimes injury or decay damages a tooth extensively. And, in certain cases, extraction is the proper treatment option to start you on the path toward complete dental health. If that is the case, we will gently extract your troublesome tooth, giving you the treatment options for replacing that tooth and for completing your beautiful smile once again.

Nightguards

A nightguard is a simple solution that protects your teeth and jaw from the harmful results of nighttime teeth grinding and clenching. We provide a custom, moldable nightguard to comfortably fit over your upper or lower teeth, creating a barrier between your teeth. The nightguard acts as a cushion between the teeth which absorbs the force of teeth grinding. It reduces clenching, grinding, and TMJ problems by helping to relax the muscles in the jaw.
